Hello, my name is Jim Foley. Following my retirement from over 43 years in business, with 35 spent in Senior Executive positions, I formed the Foley Group consulting firm.
My firm focuses on the development of associates in middle management or business unit leadership who are identified as having potential to grow and advance into leadership positions over time.
My Program is Called “Elite Leader Development”
This Elite Leader Development Process is not a seminar or a hype session. This 12-week course of content and interaction develops internal candidates who have demonstrated:
- Strong work skills
- Positive attitudes
- A good work ethic
- Personal motivation to advance through the organization
Creating a Positive High Performing Culture
What I found, over my long career, is that many college graduates during school and while working in their initial positions have successfully absorbed skills in their desired field. Very few, however, had ever been properly mentored in both the art and science of dealing with and motivating people by creating a Positive High Performing Culture within their area of responsibility.
The only objective of this program is to provide companies with a constant flow of upcoming high-quality and highly qualified leaders to support both ongoing growth and planned retirements.
I found that many young graduates were great self-performers. What they lacked was the instinctual philosophies, vision, communication skills and strategies to effectively lead and develop teams and, ultimately, departments and divisions of people.
A Support System for Shaping Leaders
As this void in the lack of leadership proficiencies got larger with the newer generations, I began creating the content and support mechanism for developing young middle managers into young elite leaders of people in all types of businesses and roles. The goal is to teach and hopefully embed the skills of how to create a positive high performing culture that drive operational excellence and strong financial performance. Introducing the candidates to proven “Leader Qualities, Philosophies and Strategies” that can be adopted within their personal styles will allow the candidates to take on additional and significant areas of responsibility.
I have always believed that “managers” take care of today’s processes that have already been created. Leaders create a positive culture that promotes new ideas for new:
- Processes
- Products
- Services
- Operational efficiencies
- Sales strategies
- Logistics
- Customer satisfaction improvements
The understanding of this process to move good people to be great leaders is hard to absorb without deeper discussion.
